Mick Sharp: artist

Mick’s early career as an artist

was in the photography industry as a retoucher for internationally known magazines such as Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home and even Playboy. Mick maintained her artist training via set painting and mock art pieces for photography studios during this time.

Later years found Mick traveling the world and gaining valuable experience, knowledge and cultural riches while working on some of the most exciting commissions in some of the most exciting locations. Through her travels, the unmistakable pull of Texas brought Mick back to establish her home in the beautiful neighborhoods of Dallas' cultural and artistic hot spot, Oak Cliff. Here, she chooses to typically present her works in museum quality fashion, oil on mahogany wood and canvas.

"At the same time, there are as many emotional interpretations of these paintings as there are people viewing them.”

“We all have a low hum running through our bodies, some of us are more tactile oriented and need to be able to see and touch something to understand it. This is how I see artists interpreting music and the ebbs and flows that go along with it for those who aren’t able to sense it within themselves. “
